The main reason I went down to the Convention Center yesterday morning was to capture 89.3 The Current's Mark Wheat become an American citizen. The atmosphere of the event was full of excitement with room full of people all pledging allegiance to the United States as they became citizens. After more than 20 years in the US, Mark became an American citizen just in time to be able to vote this fall. See more photos and read Luke Taylor's interview with Mark about why he decided to finally become a citizen: http://minnesota.publicradio.org/display/web/2012/09/06/citizen-mark
