High up above Aspen, outside of Snowmass Village, a small community of Monks call this beautiful alpine meadow home. Each year when Performance Today goes to the Aspen Music Festival, they try to highlight everything else that is happening in the area around Aspen. The PT production team and I drove up to this gorgeous monastery just before sunset. The monks perform an evening vespers service every evening, and we got their just in time to record their songs spilling out the windows into the landscape.Read More
For the last 15 years, the radio program Performance Today has traveled to the Aspen Music Festival and School to cover the concerts and interview performers. Performance Today is a nationally broadcast classical music radio program that is produced here in Saint Paul as part of American Public Media, the parent company of Minnesota Public Radio.

It was almost two months ago that I received an email from Communication Arts magazine to let me know that one of my images was selected to be included in their Photo Annual issue. The photo included is a portrait of Sonny Knight that was shot for promo posters, and was included in the Advertising category of the contest.
You can find the photo on page 94 of the July/August 2014 issue of Communication Arts, or at CommArts.com.
