In honor of the Minnesota Orchestra's first concert back since the end of the lockout, I wanted to share the photos I shot back stage at the beginning of January. It was a privilege to be invited by the The Musicians of the Minnesota Orchestra to photograph the concerts they organized during the lockout. Because of the historic length of the lockout, the musicians wanted to document the concerts. The time before the musicians took the stage was most interesting to me, capturing those quiet moments of final practice and the mix emotions of performing together again without a contract. I'm happy for the musicians that it is the end of the lockout that is serving as the impetus to finally share these photos.
