Today at The Current I was fortunate to work with the artist Bombino in the studio for a recording session. Bombino is a Tuareg musician from Niger who has become more widely recognized in the US after working with Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys to record his most recent album. The vibe in the session at The Current was a lot of fun, and I jumped at the chance to attend the show. I only squeezed to the front to snap photos for two songs, spending most of the show near the back just enjoying the music. The full session at The Current will be posted Thursday with the audio, photos, and video. I continue to have a number of past shoots to post here to the blog, but I figured it was worth a break from that to post something fresh.
