Last Friday after my day at The Current, I met local singer Claire De Lune to create some portraits. Claire contacted me after seeing some of my film photos of the Friday night of The Current's birthday show at First Ave in January. However, Claire performed with The Chalice on Saturday night and I didn't capture any film shots of her performance. So last week I proposed meeting for a brief shoot to test more the other camera I got in December, the Yashica 12 twin-lens reflex camera from the late '60s. I had some problems with the first roll I shot in February, so I was excited and nervous as I pulled the negatives out of the developing tank. Not all the images turned out as I hoped, but I was trying to push the limits of the camera. Working with these older cameras, it is an exciting challenge to adapt my shooting to the limitations of the cameras.
